MAKATI CITY

As the Philippines’ financial center, Makati City is considered by many as one of the best places to live in Metro Manila.

Makati is located at the very heart of Metro Manila, and neighbors the cities of Pasay, Taguig, Pasig, Mandaluyong, and Manila, and the municipality of Pateros.

BUSINESS FRIENDLY

One of its landmarks is the Philippine Stock Exchange Plaza, which coexists with the Ayala Triangle—a center of leisure where many gather to unwind after a day’s work, have small meetings, and exercise. The city’s bustling Ayala Avenue is considered by many as the Philippines’ “Wall Street,” where the headquarters of numerous local and multinational corporations are located.

CONVENIENT

If you’re thinking of finding property in Makati City, you’ll be pleased to know that it’s more than just a great hub for business; it’s a city of conveniences with services, transportation, and schools within walking distance from the Central Business District. Makati is also a gateway to a diverse variety of cultures and cuisines with everything from big commercial names to lesser-known hole-in-the-wall restaurants where foreign natives serve authentic eats from their homeland.

VIBRANT

Behind the glass wall-curtained monoliths of Makati is a city with a vibrant real estate market. Considered by many as the Philippines’ prime real estate hotspot, properties in Makati command high prices and rents, averaging Php250,000 per square for luxury condominiums. In the advent of the live-work-play concept in real estate, several townships were also launched over the last few years, further bolstering Makati’s position as the country’s real estate hotspot.

Taxis are easiest to get from the malls. At the Ayala Center, you can find them conveniently lined up in SM Makati, Glorietta 4, Glorietta 3, The Landmark, Greenbelt 1 and 3.

Bus

Buses run down the length of Ayala Avenue throughout the day. These can take you up northbound through EDSA or eastward to Roxas Blvd. in Pasay City.

Train

Makati has four MRT stations within its jurisdiction: Guadalupe, Buendia, Ayala Station, which is connected to Ayala Center, and Magallanes Station steps away from Chino Roces Avenue.

Jeep

Public utility jeeps have specific routes in Makati. Jeeps traverse Makati’s major thoroughfares: Ayala Avenue, Buendia Avenue, JP Rizal Street, and Chino Roces Avenue.

NEIGHBORHOODS

Choosing property from these various neighborhoods gives potential homeowners control over what kind of lifestyle they’d like to enjoy in the city that makes things happen.
