The Good - Hidalgo Place makes it possible for its residents to forget the bustling urban city of Makati with the lush greenery that surrounds the condominium. The central business districts of Makati and Ortigas are near enough for just a few minutes’ drive. Building security is 24/7 and the compound where the building is located is quite exclusive, making it harder to access for outsiders. The units are wide, designed well, and maintained properly. Tenants can enjoy good amenities which include swimming pools, function rooms, a gym, and a library. The building is also connected to other residential centers and the Rockwell Club, which also offers amenities exclusively for Rockwell residents and club members.

The Bad - The main lobby is not well lit and feels small. There are only a few chairs available for tenants or guests to use. The building’s location makes it hard to access other forms of public transportation aside from taxis. Because the building is connected to the other residential condominiums including Luna, Rizal, Amorsolo East and Amorsolo West, there may be a lot of people passing to and from the buildings making the lobbies and hallways congested or noisy. Security can even be a concern because of the easy connection between these residential condominiums.

Property Management
Hidalgo Place is managed by Rockwell Property Management Corporation. Guests and food deliveries are allowed as long as there is permission from the tenant and the security in charge. The management allows pets inside the building but they leave it up to the unit owners to decide if they will allow their own tenants to bring in pets. Parking slots for the tenants are available in the basement area. For cooking, tenants can only use electric stoves. The air-conditioning system is centralized. Areas like the lobby and elevators are also properly ventilated.
The building is located in an exclusive compound in Rockwell. Security personnel man the main entrances that leads to the residential areas. They also come guard the lobby and parking area of the building. The building’s fire safety features allows tenants to safely prevent and get out of an emergency situation.
Its amenities include a library, two swimming pools, and function rooms. The two pools, which include a kiddie pool and an adult pool, are for the tenants of the condominium itself, but they can also access the other pools located at the Rockwell Club adjacent to the building. The pool areas are open and exposed to the elements. These amenities are clean and well maintained. There are mixtures of granite and wood in the flooring and paneling of the common areas. Carpets are also available in the lobby to add to the warm and cozy feel. Plants are used for decoration. Small chairs are available around the reception area, but these may not be enough if there would be a larger number of people. Lighting in the lobby is quite dim. All the common areas are well ventilated.
Unit Quality
Colors are neutral with brownish hues as the dominant colors. Although outside, the facade of the building is colored with a light shade of green. Hallways are straight and easy to navigate because signs pointing to the units are available. Four elevators are available for the tenants while a service elevator is available for management and maintenance personnel. These common areas are well lit and clean. The units of the building are spacious. They come fully furnished and appliances are also available. The 2BR and 3BR units have balconies while the studio type and 1BR units do not. Most of the units have already been personally designed by the unit owners so the interiors may vary. But the layout of the units are mostly the same. Tenants can only renovate or change things about the units with permission from the unit owners.
The building is located in the Western block of Rockwell Center, Makati. It is near places such as Ateneo Law School and other residential condominiums including the Amorsolo Towers, Luna, and Rizal Place. Tenants can also easily access banks, hospitals, schools, and shopping centers that are all located in or near the Rockwell area. Makati and Ortigas central business districts are just a few minutes away. Sometimes the surrounding areas become congested during rush hour due to the number of residential condominiums, villages, and shopping centers in the area.

Rockwell Land

Established in 1995, Rockwell Land Corporation is co-owned by Manila Electric Company (Meralco) and First Holdings. The developer's first project was the Rockwell Center, a 15.5 hectare residential and commercial lot in Makati City that was the original site of the Meralco-owned Rockwell thermal plant, which got its name from James Chapman Rockwell, Meralco’s first president. Today, Rockwell Center is composed of several high-rise residential condominium communities, a sports and leisure club, a shopping mall, office structures and a graduate school of law and business.  With almost 20 years of experience, Rockwell Land makes it a point to build “calamity-proof” structures based on 100-year flood cycle plans. In fact, during the recent typhoons that hit the Philippines, Rockwell's completed projects (Rockwell Center-West and East Block Towers, The Power Plant Mall and the Rockwell Business Center) and ongoing developments (205 Santolan by Rockwell, Edades Tower and Garden Villas and The Grove by Rockwell) remained flood-free despite heavy rains.  Among Rockwell Land's finished projects are master-planned private enclaves that are--appropriately enough--named after Filipino icons. They are Amorsolo Square, Luna Gardens, Rizal Tower—Rockwell Center, Hidalgo Place and The Manansala.  Its most recent project is Proscenium in Makati City.
