Angeles City – Luzon’s Future Green City

Set amidst lush vegetation and rugged terrain, Angeles City is located strategically in the middle of Central Luzon. Hosting a number of industries such as manufacturing, logistics, and BPO, Angeles City is one of the country’s fastest-rising economic powers and is the center of trade and commerce for Pampanga and the rest of the Central Luzon region.

A Green Spot in a Sea of Gray

The story of Angeles City is one of persistence and perseverance. As the site of a former U.S. Air Force base, it was a favorite R&R spot for the servicemen stationed there, and it developed an unsavory reputation. However, the 1991 eruption of Mount Pinatubo forced U.S. personnel and officers to move out, leaving behind infrastructure that was heavily damaged and barely usable.

Since then, Angelenos worked hard to get their city back. Thanks to its strategic location beside national highways, it became one of Pampanga province’s trade centers. The opening of the Clark International Airport sped up the development of Angeles City and the surrounding areas, turning it into a transportation and logistics hub for Southeast Asia. Mall developers lost no time in building SM City Clark, Marquee Mall, and Robinson’s Place Angeles, which in turn have also contributed to the region’s economy.

Today, very little remains of Angeles City’s checkered past, except for a few remnants of Spanish and American rule. The city is now known as the future site of Clark Green City, a real-estate development that aims to transform the metropolis into a future-ready business and educational district.

Renting a House in Angeles City

Subdivisions abound in Angeles City. If you are looking to relocate to Angeles City to take advantage of the business opportunities there, you could rent a house for as low as P15,000 monthly. Larger houses, on the other hand, could go as high as P100,000 a month. These houses are often located in gated subdivisions with 24/7 security, and are close to the shopping and commercial districts.
