Mommies and their children enjoy matching outfits, doing things together, and having fun. But would they also jive in the type of home they individually want to live in?

We asked mommies and their children what their dream home will look like and these drawings are what they have shared with us.

A bit of everything

Cari, a customer service agent, said she is planning to buy a house and lot for sale that is secured and have a friendly neighborhood. She aspires to have a home where her children can play in a large play area. She also wants her dream home to have a garden peppered with fruit-bearing trees and lots of plants that would give ample shade to her real estate property. She would like the house to have floor-to-ceiling windows and glass sliding doors so her living space will have a refreshing ambiance.

Cari’s eldest daughter, Nicole, drew a very detailed design for her dream home, and shared that it should include all the must-haves (She’s certainly going to be a smart homebuyer in the future!):

  • 3 Bedrooms
  • 2 Toilets
  • Garage
  • Terrace
  • Kitchen with built-in cabinets
  • Swimming pool
  • A gate for cars and for people

A bookworm and an arts aficionado, Nicole also specifically wants vases located beside the windows in the house.

On the other hand, Cari’s son, Zachary, aspires to own a grand home someday. The seven-year old boy who loves playing Lego and enjoys outdoor activities, appears to have a clear vision of what he wants in his dream home. He wants it to have a long entrance pavement before reaching the main house. He also believes that his dream house should have lounge areas with lots of trees for people can get together and chill. Zachary also wants his home to have a swimming pool and garage.

Her 5-year-old boy Zion, who is a fan of the Clash of Clans digital game, drew a castle for his dream home. According to Sarah’s son, his castle comes with knights to guard their family and the castle. On the other hand, her son wants his home to have a modern twist with features like a swimming pool and a lounge area.

Family-focused home

Home is where the family is for Cheryl, an office manager in Bonifacio Global City, and her drawing shows just that. She drew a house that is typical of a Filipina mommy homebuyer. She designed her dream home in such a way that it will have ample space for the entire family to live in, long after her children has children of their own. Cheryl envisioned a housing complex, where in the center is a recreational place where the family can bond. The recreational space is said to havea swimming pool, playground, and a BBQ area.

Her daughter Nina also drew her home with features that would accommodate the family together and do relaxing activities. She wants a path surrounded with manicured grass, and a 5-feet swimming pool on the left side of the house where family can relax and unwind together.
