Jason Cao, an associate professor in University of Minnesota, found out in his study that people living near rail lines have the tendency to be happy and satisfied with their lives. This may be because their proximity to the major transits gives people good mobility and allow them to travel back and forth without hassle.
Indeed, more people prefer to own a home near public transportation. In a short survey ZipMatch conducted, the result showed that 8 out of 10 millennials want to live near any transportation hub. Mommy respondents even want public transit to be just walking distance from their home.
