The Good - Located in the center of Makati’s central business district, the Island Plaza is a low-density condominium standing 26 stories high along L. P. Leviste Street. The units in Island Plaza are adequately cut, enough to fit in bulky appliances and furniture.


The Bad - Some units do not have any views from their windows. The security is pretty lenient, with most of the security relying on the CCTV security cameras. A security guard is stationed at the entrance, and another security personnel roaming around the common areas.


Property Management
The property management has restricted the service providers residents can choose as service providers for different utilities. They do allow deliveries, but the residents have to advise the lobby concierge that they are expecting a delivery. In case of power interruptions, the backup power generator they can only supply is around 80%. The Island Plaza share the ground floor with a convenience and drug store, and a salon.
Security
The security is pretty lenient in Island Plaza. The CCTV security surveillance cameras installed at various points in the common areas of the condominium is being monitored by the concierge at the lobby area through a monitor. On the other hand, a security guard is stationed at the entrance to probe visitors of their purpose in visiting the condominium. Another security personnel roams around the common areas of the condominium. They do not allow deliveries to proceed to the residential floors unless given permission by the residents themselves.
Amenities
The lobby of Island Plaza is quite small, given that the ground floor is shared with two commercial stores. It’s plain, but decently clean and well-maintained. There are two people manning the concierge. Meanwhile, the amenities available in the condominium are the following: a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, and a fitness gym. These facilities are found at the roof deck of the condominium. The swimming pool area is slightly bare, with a few plants and lounging chairs, but residents can enjoy the Makati skyline view from there.
Unit Quality
A typical two bedroom in Island Plaza has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Some units come with functional balconies. However, there are some units with no views from their window. Units also come with a maid’s room that you can convert into a utility room for laundry. Units are adequately cut, all cuts installed with automatic smoke detector and water sprinkler. The living area is the only area with a floor-to-ceiling window. The kitchen is installed with modular cabinets with countertops. A slot for the exhaust is also available. Bedrooms have their own modular cabinets. The master’s bathroom has a bathtub, while the other bedrooms has showers instead.
Location
The Island Plaza belongs to the famous condominium strip in Salcedo Village. Residing within the heart of the central business district of Makati is a privilege alone, as the Makati CBD is teeming with various establishments such as posh shopping malls, major office buildings, esteemed educational institutions, and other business centers. Families and professionals can find it convenient to live in Island Plaza due to its proximity to the offices in the area. On the other hand, the surrounding roads nearby are congested with vehicles during rush hours. There are two commercial stores sharing space with the Island Plaza; a salon and a convenience and drug store. A few steps away and you’ll reach the Makati Sports Club and the Jaime Velasquez Park — popularly known for the Salcedo Saturday Market.
